MTWRC's FORB journey with the tri-people Youth culminates

Freedom of Religion and Belief (FoRB) Project-End Learning event

On December 23, 2023, the Mindanao Tri-people Women Resource Center, Inc. (MTWRC) conducted a Project-end Learning event in the Freedom of Religion and Belief (FoRB) program in Tubod, Lanao del Norte. Youth from Iligan City, Sultan Naga Dimaporo, and Kolambugan, Lanao del Norte were gathered to generously dedicate their valuable time and effort to actively participate in this meaningful event.

Marking the end of the FoRB program, the event aimed to capture the transformative journey of the youth over the four-year initiative. Youth engagement plays a vital role in advocating and safeguarding FoRB, as these young participants brought diverse perspectives, adaptability to changing environments, and a global connectedness that positions them as future leaders and decision-makers. Their role as champions for inclusivity was instrumental in shaping a more tolerant and inclusive society.

Beyond documenting their journey, the event also sought to strengthen the established relationship within this group. To achieve this, our team has designed an underwater solidarity activity that can metaphorically relate to FoRB. The underwater solidarity games could serve as a unique and engaging way to metaphorically convey the values of unity, diversity, and understanding within the context of the program.

This event not only serves as a reflective milestone but also reinforces the bonds forged among the youth participants. As we celebrate the culmination of the FoRB program, we look forward to a future where the foundation laid by these engaged youth ensures that the values of freedom of religion and belief continue to be prioritized and protected.
