Kahugpungan sa Kababayen-an alang sa Kalambuan (Society of Women for Development), a community-based women organization in Poblacion, Sibagat, Agusan del Sur came together and processed herbal soap, liniment oil and ointment on 27 November 2023.
In a sunny afternoon, together with designated tasks, women joyfully worked out their target produced.
Besides income-generation, herbal processing is integral in the organization's advocacy for alternative health and environmental care.
"KKK believes that ecologically-based health care is not only a skill development and economic support for our members but a significant contribution to restore the connection of humanity and nature," KKK Chairperson Virgilia Gajelloma said in Bisayan.
"By concretely showing and bringing back this traditional and ecological health care practice, we can certainly invite the society to help in our overall goal - Healthy Environment is to build Healthy Families and Healthy Society," Gajelloma added.
The activity is one of KKK's activities in observance of the 18-days of activism to end Gender-based Violence (25 Nov - 10 Dec).
