Our organic black rice goes to Manila!
Our thanks to the Organic Agriculture Program, Agri-Business and Marketing Assistance Department and KADIWA of the Department of Agriculture for paving the way for newbie social enterprise like ours to have access to markets.This is our first shipping of 15 metric ton of organic black rice together with another farmers’ cooperative, DOFARCO of Dumingag, Zamboanga del Sur, and hopefully, will not be the last. Our heartfelt thanks for the persistent support of Director San Juan of the National Organic Agriculture Program for coming to be with us in the send-off ceremony with Ms Janice Legaspi, DA IX Organic Focal Person, Ms. Bing Timpla of AMAD, Sir Jun Agad, APCO of Zamboanga del Sur and q their respective teams, to Ms. Irene Dumayas of Tigbao Agriculture, and Sir Rolando Cañales, first Councilor of Tigbao Municipality.
The Zamboanga del Sur Organic Producers and Consumers Association (ZSOPCA) would like to thank our member rice producers and neighboring farmers for continuing to practice sustainable organic agriculture and continue to produce safe and healthy food. We also would like to express our appreciation to our whole workforce who assisted us throughout the process. Padayon ta!
