Mindanao TriPeople FoodSov and Peace Partners - Our partners Conzarrd Inc. and PAGGITIB, were successfully awarded with their Participatory Organic Certificate! A FIRST in Zamboanga Peninsula.
After several months of documenting their organic practices, PAGGITIB received its Participatory Organic Certificate. This achievement not only brought recognition but also demonstrated the effectiveness of agroecology and sustainable agriculture practices in local farming communities.
The certification process was demanding, requiring dedication, patience, and constant discipline to adhere to Bureau of Agriculture and Fisheries Standards (BAFS) - Participatory Guarantee System (PGS).
However, PAGGITIB, understands that the process would not only validate their commitment to organic farming but also open up new opportunities for the organization and farmer members.
PAGGITIB's journey to achieving organic certification while practicing agroecology serves as an inspiring example of how dedication to sustainable farming can lead to environmental conservation, healthier produce, and a thriving agricultural enterprise Zamboanga del Sur Organic Producers and Consumers Association.
As Tri-people partners, we would like to congratulate Conzarrd Inc. for their success and extend our thanks to the the local government units of Lgu Tigbao, LGU - DINAS, Lgu Guipos, Zamboanga del Sur and line agencies Department of Agriculture ZAMPEN ATI in Zamboanga Peninsula, DA-OAP especially Ms. Irene Llona Dumayas who accompanied our core group's journey.
