      The Paggitib PGS 5 Core Group of Tigbao, Zamboanga del Sur

The Agricultural Training Institute - Regional Training Center IX, under the stewardship of OIC-Center Director Gerry R. Pagarigan, DVM, proudly extends warm congratulations to the Paggitib Participatory Guarantee system (PGS) 5 Core Group of Tigbao, Zamboanga del Sur for achieving a groundbreaking milestone. On December 11, 2023, they became the inaugural PGS Group certified by the Bureau of Agriculture and Fisheries Standards (BAFS) and the first PGS Group in the region.
 

This achievement is a testament to the unwavering dedication and perseverance exhibited by everyone involved, particularly the 5 core group members of Paggitib PGS. Their commitment stands as a shining example of our shared commitment to promoting, propagating, and advancing the organic industry in the peninsula.
 
 
This remarkable accomplishment was made possible through the collaborative efforts spearheaded by the Department of Agriculture Regional Field Office IX via the Organic Agriculture Program. Their leadership has been instrumental in driving this initiative and fostering sustainable practices within our agricultural landscape.
 

As we celebrate this pivotal moment, we look forward to continued collaboration and future endeavors that will further propel the growth and sustainability of the organic industry in our region.
