On February 23, 2024 the Municipal Agriculture Office thru the Organic Agriculture program with the Department of Agriculture - Bureau of Soils and Water Management (DA-BSWM) representative Community Development Officer Efraim Pangadapun conducted a site validation at Mondia La Ferme in Barangay Tag-oyango, Sibagat as proposed beneficiary of Composting Facility for Biodegradable Waste (CFBW) program.

On the same date the Organic Agriculture Program personnel of the municipality visited the Sarabia family's 0.8 ha rice farm as integral of the organic agriculture services implementation mentoring and monitoring.

Meanwhile on February 26, 2024, the Kauswagan Abaca Farmers Association (KAFA) hold its monthly meeting. The membership discusses organizational development plans and its programs for the entire community. Thus, commitment to the organization, to the programs and services provided by the government and quality production is important as per unanimous impression.
Abaca weaving is an important potential for livelihood and cultural development in the municipality. In line with the organic agriculture and self-sufficient food production campaign, the local government and the weaving industry stakeholder and community in town are always guided with green fiber development framework and conscious not to endanger food production and ecological balance in tapping Abaca in the municipal economic development.
