Sustainable Development as Responsible Governance

Sustainable Development as Responsible Governance

Women's Month 2024 is about to conclude but definitely women's participation and contributions in sustainable future shaping won't stop.

As we contemplate today the sacrifices of the Holy Son Jesus Christ to redeem the world from sins, may we sincerely reflect our deeds and relationships to fellow humans, to nature and to the Creator.

Sibagat's Municipal Mayor Dra Thelma Gonzaga Lamanilao in her message during the 3rd Sibagat Organic Agriculture Congress last Bagat Festival 2024 emphasized Sustainable Development as a framework for Responsible Governance - the intersectionality and coherence of political, economic and socio-cultural functioning and responsibility of the local government to the constituencies and juridical and ecological integrity.

The LGU then launched Sustainable Sibagat as its strategic paradigm for Sibagat's and Sibagatnons' development and empowerment. Sustainable Sibagat also serves as an invitation to all stakeholders in town to take part in any way, big or small for Sibagat's Sustainable development trajectory.

Care for the creation, strengthening unity among diverse constituencies and leadership with compassion are responsibilities upon the shoulder of those leaders in the land.
