"We stand together today to call for peace and equal justice for all, especially for our Indigenous communities. The recent violent incidents in South Upi, Maguindanao del Sur serve as a stark reminder of the ongoing struggles for land and ancestral domain rights and the need for a just and equitable society.

We believe that every individual deserves to live in peace and security, with their rights and dignity respected and fulfilled. We must work together to create a society where all communities, including Indigenous peoples, have a voice and are treated with fairness and respect.

As we join the global community in observing World Peace Day with the theme, Cultivating a Culture of Peace and upon reflecting the dark era of the Philippines during the Martial Law days let's continue to commit to promoting dialogue, solidarity, understanding, and peaceful resolution of conflicts.

We must stand up for the rights of all, regardless of their background or heritage.

Together, we can build a future where justice prevails and everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
