TRIPOD HOLDS WORKSHOP ON PEACE, HUMAN SECURITY AND CONFLICT RESOLUTION FOR SECURITY SECTOR

TRIPOD SUCCESSFULLY CONDUCTED A WORKSHOP ON PEACE, HUMAN SECURITY AND CONFLICT RESOLUTION last September 11-12, 2024 at the PNP Cotabato City Compound.

This is our first engagement with the Cotabato City Police Office under the leadership of City Director PCOL Joel S. Estaris and our beloved Chairperson Msgr. Benjamin Ariel Torreto.
 
Together with our partners men, women and LGBTQIA+ in uniform, TRIPOD successfully conducted our first batch of participants to this abovementioned workshop. The two-day workshop helped deepen the participants' understanding on the many facets of peace and acquired practical conflict resolution skills as we build trust, value and appreciate people's life with dignity, equality and justice.
 
We can't thank you enough all our invited Resource Persons for your valuable inputs, no-hold-bars sharing of life experiences and lively discussion and exchange with the participants - to mention PNP Life Coaches Ustadz Abdulrahman Mamalangkas (Muslim) and Pastor Percy Lagman (Christian) TRIPOD BOT and former Member of Parliament Romeo Saliga (IP), NICA BARMM Regional Director Noel Plaza and PCPT Anuar Mambatao. Thanks also to PLT Patricia Bueno Mae O Vuen and PCPT Mary Jane Culanag in making things easy for us during the training.
 
But good undertakings like this would not have been this "good" if not for the hard work of this powerhouse Training Team Dhez Sapare Solon, Phe M Agilas MJ Perez, Tadz Amil, Hanie Anie, Nonoy Torres and yours truly, led by our Peace Mentor Deng Giguiento.
 
Together with our 20 Police personnel participants, we are grateful and super-duper inspired again by this newfound partnership and collab. Now our plans are full and we have so much to look forward to. Thank you mga Sirs and Maams!
 
Our plan is to build on this momentum, face the many challenges with commitment and pride, and traverse our common pathways - of enhancing capacities and connections among grassroots peace actors, collaborating with different stakeholders to ensure human security and transforming negative convictions and conditions towards Peace, Reconciliation and Equity.
