End the War and violence, Pray, and work for lasting peace in the Middle East and the world. - IMOVEPEACE
Interfaith Movement for Peace in Mindanao calls on all people in the world to stay united in prayers and peaceful actions amidst the conflict between Iran and Israel.
The conflict threatens not only the stability of the Middle East but also of the world. The conflict is not only a political struggle, but it would also be a tragedy for humanity and creation. Let us all condemn all attacks on civilian populations and autocratic regimes and all forms of sovereignty interference.
As a global community, we are called to be peace and justice preachers and makers. The teachings of Jesus Christ, Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him), Brahma, Yahweh, and the selfless love of Mother Mary have taught us to love and care for one another without discrimination. Love must reign in the world but from Palestine to Lebanon, Syria, Yemen, Sudan, and now in Iran lives are lost, families are torn apart, and hatred and violence continue to spread. And the conflict affects Christians, Jews, Muslims, and all people and faiths who for long have been praying and longing for lasting and meaningful peace.
We cannot simply turn off televisions, radios, and internet connections and turn a blind eye to the pain and suffering of our brothers and sisters in the Middle East and elsewhere. Their pains are our pains too, their suffering is our suffering too, and their long-dreamt peace and justice is our dream too.
A new international mechanism for all nations must be established where mutual respect, fulfilment of human rights and dignity of all people, sovereignty is a shared responsibility, democracy, and accountability are fundamental and free from monopoly and manipulations.
We call for an immediate ceasefire and all actors must invest to all necessary means for diplomatic resolution of the conflict. All forces advancing to territories of either country must withdraw and return to their bases.
All efforts nationally, regionally, and globally must build and provide mechanisms to strengthen and realization of peace, justice, and reconciliation. And the war and occupation in the Palestinian sovereign land must end now too!
